How We Collect Information

We may collect and store any information you voluntarily provide to us while on our Site. You may be asked to provide your name, date of birth, e-mail address, the country in which you reside, mailing address, phone number and other information when, for example, you create an account with us, enter a sweepstakes or contest, register a product or warranty or correspond with us via e-mail.  Certain examples of how you provide us information include:

When you enter a sweepstakes or contest, we may ask for your name, address, date of birth and e-mail address so we can administer the contest and notify the winners. 

When you register a product or warranty, we may ask for your name, address, phone number, date of birth, e-mail address, product name, purchase information and other information so that we can administer the product registration and warranty program, in the event your product needs repair or service.

You will have the option when you open your account and register for products or warranties, to indicate if you would like to receive promotional information, updates on existing or new products, services and benefits from FUJIFILM or its affiliates and market research communications (including customer surveys).  If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving such correspondence, please notify us at customerservice@fujifilm.ca.

You can also cancel your MyFinePix account by notifying us at myfinepix@fujifilm.ca. If you request cancellation of your account, FUJIFILM may remove any and all of your information from the Site, which may not be accessible to you even if you choose to later reactivate your account or rejoin as a registered user.  To comply with applicable laws, we may retain certain account information for a limited time.  This data will be retained in a manner consistent with all of our other data and information retention policies. 

The personal information you submit is not used for any purpose other than that for which it is submitted and is not shared with outside parties in each case except to the extent described herein or you elect otherwise.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "publicly accessible areas" of our Site are those accessible by the general public.  Notwithstanding any other statement in this Privacy Policy, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any personal data or information that you choose to disclose and make publicly accessible via the Services, and that under no circumstances will FUJIFILM be liable in any way for the disclosure and public accessibility of such personal data or information. How We Use Information We Collect

We use information held about you in the following ways:

• To supply promotional information.
• To update you on relevant products, services or benefits from FUJIFILM or its affiliates.

Data collected online may also be combined with information you provide through other sources.
Non-personal data is collected for reporting about our Site usability, performance, and effectiveness.  It is also used to improve the customer experience, usability and Site content.  We do not use personal information provided to us in ways unrelated to the uses described above without first providing you with the opportunity for you to opt out of such uses.

Use of Cookies

Where We Store Your Personal Data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and/or stored at, a destination outside of Canada, such as the United Kingdom.  It may also be processed by staff operating outside of Canada who work for us or one of our affiliates, subcontractors or suppliers.  By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing and you understand that information you provide may be available to any provincial, state or local governments of such jurisdictions and/or their agencies under a lawful order made in the applicable jurisdiction.  We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers, which may be located outside of Canada.  Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.  We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Any dealings, via the Linked Sites, with third parties, including the delivery of and the payment for goods and services and participation in promotions, and any terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and the third party.  FUJIFILM shall not be responsible or liable for any part of any such dealings.

Data Safeguarding and Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Your account with us, which contains your user-provided information, is accessible by you online, but it is protected by password.  We strongly recommend that you do not give your password to anyone. We also recommend that you change or re-arrange your password every three months.  If you want to change any of your personal information, correct factual errors, or even if you simply want to see what information we have stored, you can review and update your user profile on the ‘Profiles’ section of the Site.  We use this procedure to better safeguard your personal information and to keep it accurate and under your control.  You may edit your account information at any time.

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
